What is a Friend, Xarath? [PM to join]

Post by Sora Hayashi on Thu Jun 07, 2012 7:33 pm

The day was just starting, Sora was sitting on the steps to his apartment taking a long drag from it. The smoke curled playfully in the air as he puffed it out slowly. Smoking was the one thing that seemed to keep him calm when he went outside to think to himself. The crimson eyes were half closed in a mimic of a lazy cat. The sun was coming up, the fullbringer could feel the steady warmth from the sun. There were moments when he enjoyed watching the sun rise to its fully glory but today was not one of those days. Crushing the butt of the smoke against the ground Sora leaned against the metal railing that lead down to the side walk. "Fucking sun." The low growl was more than enough to show he was alive if nothing else. Squinting his eyes open, Sora slowly rose to his full height and then looked down at his clothing. It was clean, he pulled it on a couple hours ago after waking from a nightmare. Patting his pants pocket he made sure the wallet was still there. After all he needed to pick up some stuff for the apartment and maybe see if he could find Overa a gift to enjoy. He thought about the small pink haired girl and grunted slightly not knowing how to react. It was strange to consider anyone else family. The light sigh which exuded from his mouth sounded anything but happy. Moving down the steps Sora pulled the sunglasses that were hanging around the collar of his shirt free. Placing them over the strange crimson eyes the man one more started walking down the side walk not knowing what store he wanted to visit first or if he even wanted to go shopping. Was it too early to go out drinking? The thought made him look to the watch on his wrist almost wistfully.

Well fuck. It was only 7:30AM. What a let down that was. Shaking his head Sora noted that children were leaving their homes for school. Only a couple years ago that was him too. God he was getting old fast and he couldn't even let the past go. The fuck was wrong with him? Squinting his eyes slightly Sora looked down the street as the students grouped up with their friends. That made him pause slightly, watching them. What was it like to have actual friends that you could love and trust with anything? The crimson orbs watched how they easily mingled one another. He didn't realize that he was standing there watching them out in the open. Finally be blinked when a woman growled at him making a comment he was a pervert. Slowly he lowered his sunglasses to peer to the elderly woman that was sweeping the side walk in front of her home. Did she just really say that? The man had to resist the urge to face palm. Finally he shook his head sadly. "Ma'am isn't it too early to be accusing someone of being a pervert?" Sora paused throwing one last glance to the girls who were blissfully unaware. "I'm gay. Trust me I don't think about them in any way sexual." He spoke softly and then slipped the sunglasses on once more shaking his head. Turning in the other direction of the old woman Sora hurried along. That was the first time he got called a pervert for something so innocent. It seemed no one trusted each other now a days. What a bad feeling that was. The only thing he had wanted to know was how it felt to be so open around someone.

The man hurried along the side walk deciding shopping might hell his mind settle. The fuck was that? God he seemed to be losing more of himself with each day. Touching the scar on his cheek slightly Sora ducked his head. He didn't have friends or someone to care about because he couldn't trust himself not to fuck up again. Not to lose them to something. He wanted to be able to protect the people around him and he hadn't done a swell job at that in the past. God he needed a smoke and not even an hour had passed. It was going to be one of those fucking horrible days.

Re: What is a Friend, Xarath? [PM to join]

Post by Der König on Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:15 pm

7:00 AM was certainly one very ungodly hour, Xarath decided as he tried to keep his eyes open. How he had actually managed to get out of bed at 6:00 AM was beyond him. Well, it certainly was the first time that all of his alarm clocks had a chance to ring.
Not that he bothered about that earlier.

Xarath tried to stiffen a yawn, his jaw trembling at the effort as he made his way down the street. Seriously now though, if it wasn't for one of his favorite designers to have an grand opening show today he would not...

Suddenly he stopped in his tracks, swallowing heavily before clicking his tongue twice. The thought that he would be in the middle of a huge crowd had not hit him until now.

Nervously he looked around, noting a few people starring at him. Damn his size. Why could he not be a little bit smaller? More petite? Four tongue clicks.
He looked like an elephant.

Instantly his shoulders slummed and he looked down on himself. He was wearing a white, short-sleeved blouse, which was a little wider around his shoulders and with the first four buttons opened it hang loosely and managed to slip from his left shoulder from time to time. The dark green miniskirt he was wearing was folded and had thin, white pinstripes running down towards the edges. Accompanying that he wore thigh-high black leather boots with short heels.

No wonder they were staring - he must look like a clown to them.
An elephant clown then?

Xarath's tongue clicked three more times, before he slowly started to take one step in front of the other again - the heels clicking softly on the pavement. He should not have come here. Such a glamorous place was certainly not a place for the likes of him.

Yes... it would be... children laughter. A lot of it... coming from his right. Immediately his head perked up and he glanced towards the noise, which made his eyebrows twitch in annoyance.

God how he hated children.
Laughing and squealing and playing and... as if the world was a happy place.
He growled low in his throat while brushing strands of his loose hair behind his right ear.
Disgusting little creatures behaving as if there was no ca...

"Your boyfriend walked over there."

Huh?
Confused Xarath looked down towards his left, where an angry looking woman was glaring up at him.
Of course.

"What is it old hag?" he growled out, not bothering to show any form of politeness towards her.

"Your freak boyfriend walked over there." the woman continued, her voice almost seething with anger and... was there disgust too? Most certainly. "You and your kind are all the same. If god wanted to... and then you use little children. Don't you feel any shame?"

Xarath snorted before sending the children one last look, not bothering to glance down at her any longer.

"Who'd want to fuck such disgusting creatures anyway?" he murmured darkly before turning and walking down the street once more. Well, he actually knew some who would... The "You will all burn in hell!" that was shouted after him was professionally ignored.

He already knew he'd go to hell. Though certainly not for his preference.
It was because...

He clicked his tongue twice again, before turning around a corner. What did that matter now? They were gone and he'd pay for that.
Everything was as it should be.

Three tongue clicks, before he entered a store.

Unsure he glanced around, at first not knowing what he was supposed to do. Going to that opening was out of question, he'd stick out like a sore thumb. And going back to his apartment was not really something he wanted to do - especially as he already got up so early anyway.
He might as well do any kind of shopping.

Though being here was not any better.

With slightly nervous eyes did he take a glance at the female section. Petite, small, frail and if he'd go over there... indeed - shopping at this time of the day was not the wisest decision he had ever made. Far too many customers.

Slowly he turned his head to his right, his green orbs sweeping over the male section. Not that many customers, just two actually. One wearing sunglasses... inside.
Certainly to be fashionable, judging by the male's clothes.

Again he turned his head towards the other section, two woman already looking at him whispering silently. They did not seem to be sure what he really was.

Well, he wasn't either.
And he sure as hell did not know what to do now.
Tongue click.

Re: What is a Friend, Xarath? [PM to join]

Post by Sora Hayashi on Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:41 pm

Wearing sunglasses inside a store was highly impractical. Slowly he took them off once more blinking in the light of the store before looking to the men's clothing with a curious glance. The fuck was he supposed to buy? He hadn't bought clothes himself in awhile. What size would fit his frame... God he wanted to quit where he was. The crimson orbs slowly moved to the group of women gossiping among themselves. They were talking about a strangely dressed man who was wearing a green miniskirt, and leather knee boots. Alright they were making shit up now weren't they? Slowly he shoved his glance over to the man outside the store taking in his appearance before blinking slightly. Well damn... The hens weren't just clucking. Though they didn't give much detail about how handsome he was and how despite being a womens outfit, it fit him and suited him perfectly. Slowly he turned his gaze to the women who were still shooting glances over to the strange man. "He's beautiful, what's the issue? Can't someone wear the clothes they want?" Sora rumbled, looking overly cranky. Just the look he shot them made the women apologize frantically as if they were sure he was going to bite them or something. Most people thought the wrong thing about him when they saw the scars on his fact and chest. They assumed it meant he was a bad man. What would've been a once handsome face was marred by that. Most other men who were gay turned their nose up at him for the mark on his cheek which was why he was conscious about it. Fuck they weren't help his urge to go light up a smoke. Fucking dames chattering to themselves like this. Shaking his head slightly, Sora focused on looking to the dress shirts once more wondering what the hell the sizes meant.

"God I'm useless with this stuff." He commented lifting up a ruby red crimson dress shirt wondering how it would look on him. Maybe it would be too flashy... He mused this before putting it back on the rack and letting out a grumble before shaking his head. There was no way shopping was going to end successfully. Moving from the clothes he looked to Xarath once more noticing the other guy looked uncomfortable and the women kept shooting glances at him like he was a side show freak for them to ogle. Slowly he moved through the clothing before he was at the shinigami's side, and then he delicately dropped his shoulder over the other male's shoulder tugging him close in a light hold. He wasn't doing this to be sexual, he was doing it to scare the women off. They seemed to scatter when he did that. Once Sora was sue that the women had went to their own business once more he tugged Xarath over to the clothing with him innocently. "If you stay around me they won't comment on it." Sora spoke softly the crimson eyes holding a kind look to them before he once more returned to looking at the shirts. He made sure to stay near the other man though if the other guy wanted to bolt then he wouldn't stop him. After all he was a stranger acting like the dominant showing people that he belonged to him. Sora flicked his gaze up once more to Xarath. "You can run if you want to but I think you look beautiful. It's refreshing to see someone wear what they want." His voice was careful, Xarath reminded him of his old boyfriend who was murdered. The thought made him look down to the shirts as if they were the focal point of his life at that time.

Picking up another shirt Sora looked at the colour. It was a royal blue. Would it even match him in the slightest? Oh hell, why did he give a shit? Shaking his head slowly the man looked to Xarath with a slight smile on his face. "What shirt do you think would look nice on me? I'm lousy at figuring stuff like this out." He spoke looking perplexed.

Post by Der König on Fri Jun 08, 2012 5:38 am

He took a step closer to the door, though still did not bother to walk over to the women's section. The street was far too bright, the people were up far too early. Definitely not a good time to show his fa...

Suddenly he felt how an arm was wrapped around his shoulders, making him flinch slightly while his eyes opened wide in surprise - like a deer caught in the headlights.

"If you stay around me they won't comment on it."

The warm breath so close to him made him shiver slightly, before he turned his head and glanced up at the male next to him.

Eyes of the color of fresh blood, by far more stunning than the 2nd Division captain's ones, scars and hair darker than the night. Exotic looks combined with a rough appearance.
Though it was the male's soft voice that made Xarath follow him without a question.

Not questioning the male at least, though he could not help but wonder why the man was helping him. There was absolutely no reason to, Xarath clicked his tongue, and they would comment on it... and now the man had to feel it too.

Though judging by his appearance... he had his own fair share of prejudiced people to fight against.

Maybe that was why he took pity on him.

"You can run if you want to but I think you look beautiful. It's refreshing to see someone wear what they want."

There was no reason for him to run away. The male had by now shown him more compassion than anybody else. He would not leave until he was told to get lost after... beautiful? Xarath's clicked his tongue twice as a slight blush grazed his cheeks.

"I... I am not reall..." He stopped, but turned his eyes towards the male who... The air had changed around him. While before it was soothing and gentle it was now heavy and depressing. A thoughtful look appeared on Xarath's face as he openly continued to stare at the male. Those scars told very well of the burdens the man surely had to carry and those eyes, Xarath had to swallow heavily as his green orbs connected with burning crimson, there was a sorrow behind them that made it hard to breath.

He clicked his tongue as the man started to move again - bringing his own attention down to the shirts in front of them. Royal blue... really? Though was it not too obvious what he tried to do? He was trying to shrug it off, shrug off whatever had suddenly befallen him.
Maybe it was his fault. Maybe he had triggered a memory that should be buried.

The man had helped him and he was repaying it with horrible memories.
He was a disgusting human.
Tongue click.

Suddenly the man's head turned towards him and Xarath could not help but to turn his own and meet those eyes.
See that smile.

Immediately his cheeks were aflame once more and hastily he returned his attention back on those shirts.
It was a stunning smile.
A smile that seemed to show so much more about that man than others seemed to see.
Sorrowful eyes, honest smile and yet he could feel the stares against their backs. The man did not deserve such unfair treatment.

"What shirt do you think would look nice on me? I'm lousy at figuring stuff like this out."

Uh... again he could not help but settled his green orbs on the male next to him... who looked far too adorable with that expression.
This was... not good.

Still though... it was time to say something... was it?

"You... you..." he started softly before clicking his tongue. "Thank you. You did not have to."

Then he lowered his eyes again while the tip of his right index finger brushed softly over the royal blue shirt.

"I would not pick this one for you." he continued on, a slight nervousness tinting his voice. "You have such stunning." beautiful "features you do not need to pull the attention away from them." He took a heavy breath, unsure why he even went with the conversation.

Most likely because of those sorrowful eyes.
He had triggered the memory, he might as well help the man ignore it.

"I would pick a white one for you. It underlines softly..." Something that needed to be seen, simply because... "...you look unique."

Tongue click.

Re: What is a Friend, Xarath? [PM to join]

Post by Sora Hayashi on Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:41 am

Sora's crimson eyes narrowed slightly before he looked almost amused. "Hush, you are really. I don't know why you would say you're not." He smiled slightly and then once more returned to staring at the fabric like it was the most fascinating thing in the world. Sora blinked slightly looking unsure of what to say, he felt like he just put a damper on the light situation. Sometimes he really knew how to mess a situation up. Feeling the fabric under his fingers he blinked slightly. It seemed to be a high grade of material at least. Well for the prices it was he hoped it was indeed good. He pushed the smile on his face and then noticed the bright flame on his face. Sora resisted the urge to laugh, it was nice to see anyone find him attractive. It brightened his mood a lot more than he thought it would. He looked up slightly feeling his own cheeks a soft crimson colour, blinking he peered once more to the options there. White, purple, pink, blue, yellow, green, and the colours just seemed to go on. He blinked, how he actually had no idea what colour palette that went well with him. He moved from the royal blue shirt, hooking it once more on the rack before looking over to Xarath with a baffled look. "Now I know why I haven't went shopping in a long time. There's no way I could pick something out." he looked at a loss of words and then moved closer to the rack of clothes before frowning. Then he paused a woman walked in the store with her toddler and then waved brightly to him. Sora smiled to them lightly and glanced to Xarath. "I'm a doctor." He looked embarrassed as he said it keeping near Xarath's side with a light look nodding his head in agreement to white.

White was good. He picked up the white shirt and then grinned brightly. Unique? That was a new one, he looked away blushing more before nodding his head. "Thank you. It's been a long time since anyone's said anything positive about it." He smiled lightly trying to keep the mood light despite everything. He looked to the white then moved to the mirror along the wall placing the white up against him and blinked. The vivid red eyes were smoldering, and his colouring made him look exotic. Something more than he ever saw in himself. Blinking slightly he lowered the shirt before smiling to Xarath. He'd keep the colour white in mind for clothing choices in the future. He once more turned to Xarath with a curious glance, forgetting the memories. It was nice just to be out shopping with someone even if he kind of pulled the guy along. He paused for a moment watching the woman and her son approach them. Her son was cute enough, he smiled to the pair. The woman blinked and then nodded her head.

"Dr.Hayashi, and you must be his beau, huh? Lucky you." The woman smiled widely to the pair. Sora looked to Xarath and then back to the woman before making sure he was close enough no one would comment. Sora lightly held the other man's hand in his own, the warmth coming off of his own body strong.

"Now Yumi, what ever makes you think I'd be lucky enough to get myself someone like this?" Sora laughed warmly but the truth was in his eyes. People rejected him for his appearance it was common. He was surprised Xarath hadn\t run off when the chance was presented.

Post by Der König on Fri Jun 08, 2012 7:44 pm

"Hush, you are really. I don't know why you would say you're not."

Once more Xarath could not help himself, but to look surprised at the other male. Why the hell would he say that? It was pretty obvious why Xarath had said it... he owned a well working mirror.

Three tongue clicks, though otherwise he kept silent. There was no reason for him to push the subject, to get his point across. Besides, he man had been so polite, he really did not want to annoy him any more than he already did.

He turned his eyes towards the man...

---

As if the pretty smile had not been enough the man had the nerve to also blush. Did he even know how well it suited him? Especially that contrast made him that much more interesting - rough appearance and yet this gentle soul within.

He clicked his tongue three times while taking his eyes away from the other male.
What the hell was he doing here? He had no right to stand next to such a person.

Then the other male started to talk again.

---

Carefully Xarath watched the male make this way through the clothes, seeming so utterly... lost.
It was kinda cute...

"Now I know why I haven't went shopping in a long time. There's no way I could pick something out."

Adorable actually, though he should not be thinking that. Immediately Xarath lowered his eyes, clicking his tongue once more. He was certainly playing with fire here and the only one who'd get burnt would be the kind man.

"I'm a doctor."

Hm? Confused Xarath blinked his eyes, wondering for a moment what he had missed before he noticed the man's softened expression. The calmness he was radiating off, so different to the overly confident man who had pulled him along.

So many hidden layers and Xarath could not help but wonder how they were created. What was the story behind each and every of them.

Still though... he was being overly impolite right now.

"That's... amazing." he murmured softly, his own lips curling for once into a light smile.
He did not really like the word 'amazing' - it was too plain to describe how stunned he really was. The male did not appear that old, but already being a doctor?

He clicked his tongue, feeling even more undeserving of the attention, as he finally glanced at the woman, bowing slightly in greeting.

---

"Thank you. It's been a long time since anyone's said anything positive about it."

Immediately Xarath's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "This... makes no sense." he murmured softly, not sure if he really should say something or better keep his trap shut. But with those eyes... it was hard to do so, when it seemed like the other man was suffering all alone. He just knew too well how hard that could be.

"They are just jealous, because compared to you they all look plain." he murmured finally, though his voice still held a tint of uncertainty as he lowered his eyes to the floor. He clicked his tongue three times before he noticed the man leaving his side. For a moment Xarath thought he simply had enough, though once he lifted his head did he see him checking out the shirt.

It really did look good on him.
Yes, they were certainly just envious.

And then the guy had the nerve to smile like that at him again.
It should be forbidden, damnit.

Though when those crimson eyes once more settled onto him, he could not help but wonder if the man wanted to ask him something. Impatiently he waited for him to continue when already the woman and her... child... appeared again.

"Dr.Hayashi, and you must be his beau, huh? Lucky you."

Xarath could feel how his breath hitched in the back of his throat, his world stopping to turn for a few moments before the engulfing of his hand with another soft-skinned one brought him out of his daze.

What. The. Hell?

Three more tongue clicks left his lips, though he was still too stunned to say anything else.
How could the woman miscalculate like that? Did she have tomatoes for eyes. Why would...

"Now Yumi, what ever makes you think I'd be lucky enough to get myself someone like this?"

Before he could take a calming breath a deep red blush covered his face, while his eyes settled onto the floor. Was the guy fooling around now? Maybe he wanted to make her jealous?

Her... Yumi... oh god... he reacted to the flirting before he reacted to that name. Had he forgotten her? God he was one selfish bastard. He lived on and spit on their memory, was it not like that? He should be torn apart for that, three tongue clicks, should be shunned. Another tongue click. God he was disgusting. Two tongue clicks, while his hands tried to ball into fists.

Try... instead one of them merely wrapped tighter around the hand in his palm. Immediately he softened his touch and looked up at the kind man once more.

"I... I am sorry." he murmured. "You should no... I mean... I am not a someone." He actually was a nothing.

He turned his eyes back onto the woman, ignoring the child so close to her - a triggering timebomb if he were to be asked, and hoped this situation would just dissolve itself now.

It was horrible... and he had caused it again.

Silence was golden. There was a reason they said it.

"Just..." he waved between the two other adults. "Just go on."

Re: What is a Friend, Xarath? [PM to join]

Post by Sora Hayashi on Wed Jun 13, 2012 7:04 pm

Xarath interested Sora, maybe it was just the outfit but he felt himself relax near another person. It had been a long time since he felt so safe... The last time had been when he was with Chris, all those years back. Blinking slightly, the fullbringer tried to remain calm. The tongue clicking habit was a bit strange, he never knew someone who did something like that, but one the same page it made the strangely clad man unique. Everyone is special in their own ways, Sora, you're just so jaded. Stop being a downer and smile. The memory of Chris made him hold the shirt a little tighter, nothing else gave away how he felt. Was it dangerous to be kind to someone else? Maybe he played with a lighter. The crimson orbs examined the raven haired man before sweeping away. How was he supposed to react? When Xarath commented on him being a doctor Sora blinked slightly. Why was it amazing? That wasn't a comment he thought would come from another person. How strange, yet fitting. The smile on the shinigami's face was more than enough to make him relax despite the fact he felt out of his area. Shopping wasn't an expertise of his own nor did he know how to master it. It was something he really needed help with or he'd end up going out in public dressed like an obscene clown. "Thank you. Amazing isn't a word I hear often about it." He mused before looking to Yumi who was approaching them with her little son. Sora hoped that he wouldn't scare Xarath off. After all he hadn't expected anyone to want to spend some time with him. Most people said he was too much for them to handle. Something about him being an asshole, blah blah blah. Usually he tuned people out when they started bitching to him.

The jealous comment had been surprising. It was like comparing a jaguar to a house cat. Slowly he nodded his head, he wouldn't argue the point. Most people rejected him for the rough appearance it wasn't his fault. As Yumi spoke Sora made sure to pay attention to the man he was holding hands with. Feeling Xarath's grip tighten on him Sora showed no sign of being bothered, the smile never faltering. What was wrong with the raven haired male, did he say something wrong to cause the discomfort? When the man spoke Sora blinked and then smiled thinly to Yumi. "He is something even if he doesn't regard it as that." The words were soothing. The woman nodded her head looking almost surprised with the raven haired male as well. She hadn't meant to cause any harm in asking. He turned his attention to Xarath with a light look wondering what was going on with him. Lightly he tugged the other male closer, just a bit. Then he leaned forward wisping his lips across the pale cheek of the other male before standing back. "He is something." Sora spoke evenly, lightly squeezing his hand. Yumi smiled nodding her head briefly before waving to them. She had what she wanted to buy so she was heading out. Not to mention Sora seemed to be having the slightest crush on someone. When she walked away Sora turned to the clothes once more. He didn't care that Yumi was gone he continued to hold the other mans hand. "Someone I once knew told me every stranger is someone you just haven't met." He msed and then smiled sadly before looking to the shirts once more.

"So I never asked - What brings you out here?" He seemed interested in the clothes, just waiting for the other male to try and escape him. Slowly the grip loosened before Sora let go, wishing he hadn't made Xarath upset or something of the likes. The crimson eyes were lost in thought while he peered up slightly knowing his eyes were showing too much emotion. Tugging the sunglasses over his eyes once more he hid behind the mask he allowed himself. Sometimes he felt so useless. "I mean I'm sure you had something to do before I pulled you in here." He mused, feeling like an idiot now.

Re: What is a Friend, Xarath? [PM to join]

"Thank you. Amazing isn't a word I hear often about it."

Xarath glanced down at his feet, his eyes fixed onto the clean, black leather of his boots, while he clicked his tongue twice.

"I am sorry... I lacked... words."

He really needed to brighten his horizon at some point. He was 100 years now and his vocabulary was still so small.
Though it was amazing. To him there was no other word that fit as much as this one, no matter how plain it seemed in the end.

-

He just saw too clearly in those beautiful crimson orbs, that the man did not believe him at all. Why not? Was it so hard to believe how stunning he was? What kind of fools dared to lash out just because they would never reach such a level? They should try harder then or, like Xarath, accept the fact that they will never be more.

Once more Xarath clicked his tongue.

-

Xarath kept his eyes lowered, not daring to look at any of the two, hoping they would just continue their conversation and ignore him. How had he managed to stumble into such a situation anyway? He should just leave again and let them continue with their lives.

"He is something even if he doesn't regard it as that."

He could not help but blink in confusion as his tongue clicked twice - slowly glancing up into crimson orbs, which were slightly laced with confusion.

... what was going on?

Then the male actually did what he had least expected. He leaned over and brushed soft lips against his cheek.

"He is something."

A bright blush spread all over Xarath's cheeks, dusting them a deep scarlet, while his eyes widened in surprise.
Why had he done that now? Why would anybody do that?

Xarath could not help but swallow heavily as his hand was squeezed once more.
Was that man... hitting on him?
Why the hell was somebody doing something so stupid? Did he confuse him for a... no, that could not be it. The man referred as 'he' to him, there was no chance he confused him up with a girl. Or was he trying to experiment around and went with something that was not too much of a difference than what he had before.

Would seem logical, but as he glanced once more into those, by now soft, eyes he could not help, but throw this theory away. He did not know him, but strangely enough he could not see the man doing something like that. Still blushing Xarath clicked his tongue as his eyes once more settled on the tip of his boots, waiting for the woman to say her farewells to Hayashi-san.

He had expected to sidestep again once the female was gone, yet the man continued to hold his hand as they returned to his shopping. Just maybe... he was really hitting on him.
No, he had forgotten that he merely played along to keep him out of the gossip trap. Well that one closed around him already, judging by the looks people were giving them, but it was a reason for Hayashi-san to continue being so pol...

The look was back.

"Someone I once knew told me every stranger is someone you just haven't met."

Xarath could see it just too clearly as he looked back up into the man's face. Somehow he had managed to sadden him once more. Strangely enough that was his only talent. His sisters already had to suffer around him and now he was hurting the gentle male next to him instead of being thankful.
Just what kind of monster was he actually? Could he do nothing right?

"So I never asked - What brings you out here?"

Yes, let's escape in small talk.
Though before Xarath could reply he felt how Hayashi-san let go of his hand. He could not help but glance down at his now free hand, cursing himself for wishing they would not have stopped. Miyuki was right - he really needed to stop with those stupid dreams. They would not happen - no they never will.

Slowly he glanced up once more, feeling those beautiful orbs on himself, making him fridge slightly. Somebody like him really should not have to look at something so disgusting. Still though, he mattered little compared to what he saw in those stunning orbs. Was it sadness? Or worry? Maybe regret? Before he could make up his mind sunglasses already covered something that should be shown with pride. Was it because the man just could not look at him any longer, or because he tried to hide what was going on inside of him?

Xarath clicked his tongue three times, knowing it was certainly not his business, but still...

"I mean I'm sure you had something to do before I pulled you in here."

Feeling a sudden surge of bravery Xarath slowly reached up with his hand, the tips of his fingers softly pressing against the frames of the sunglasses before he pulled them down.

"Somebody as stunning as you, Hayashi-san." he murmured softly, clicking his tongue before he continued. God what was he doing? The male will punch him for that act. "Should never feel the urge to hide away."

Then he slowly place the sunglasses back on the rim of the shirt, letting them tangle there until they were really needed. Xarath clicked his tongue again as he watched them, not daring to glance back up at those orbs that might be laced with anger now.

It was unlike him to do such things, but he could not help but feel like he had done the right thing.

"I..." He might as well go with the small talk escape too. "I f-f-from f-f-f-a-rr wayy." he stuttered slightly, a blush once more dusting his cheeks. But god in heaven, he could just not lie - no matter how white it was. "I am... I wanted to visit a show, but I decided against it in the last moment." he explained softly, green orbs one more meeting the black of his boots. "What..." he was just about to ask what the male had been doing here, when it hit him that it was quite obvious. He went shopping - no need to waste words.

Instead he clicked his tongue.
