Crushed chrysanthemums laid skewed across the hard packed sand of her bedroom. The bare walls lacking any real colour beyond the window that allowed the blue sky and brilliant rays of sun to splash colours across the floor seemed to be the only noticeable things beyond the ruined flowers. The strong fragrant scent of the now destroyed flowers wafted through the room mixed with something more coppery and sweet. Pushing up from her huddled ball in the corner, Ravilin sniffled. Glass fragments sparkled across the floor where the vase had hit, shattering into a thousand little pieces. Across her soft cheeks was clear stains formed from crying. Her hair was brilliant against the dull white, shifting from where she was the petite arrancar felt ashamed. She once more had found herself in a position where another person, monster rather, decided they were above he and showed exactly how they felt about their esteemed position. It was hard to admit to anyone how much pain she truly was in. The blue eyes held the look of a haunted animal; her white uniform has splotches of red from where she had bled. The fingers slowly snaked out from the long sleeves to probe the bleeding spots hesitantly.

There was always the option of telling her master the treatment she earned. Though… Ravilin doubted Methias would be sympathetic with how she was. Nervously, the small girl pushed down the fear of dragging the one person who seemed to even notice she existed. How lonely and pathetic she was. Her existence was no better than a homeless canine who was staring. None would glance at her without wanting to throw a kick or mocking comment to her direction. The blue eyes never wavered as her fingers played with the white fabric, tugging gently at it. The gentle tug was enough to rip it in the current state it was in. In the back of her throat a low whine escaped much like a dog baying for the master. What kind of pathetic mutt was she? Removing her hands from the destroyed uniform she tugged on the long cotton candy coloured hair in a nervous tick like manner. It was a hard tug like she didn’t notice it pulling her head to the side in a painful curve of her neck.

Finally, Ravilin moved from the corner of her room, the sandals on her feet crushing over the glass grinding it into the hard packed ivory grains. Ravilin didn’t know where her destination was to be, but, it had to be better than standing there with a mournful look wishing she hadn’t had her simple delight of life snatched cruelly from her hands. Releasing her hair from the small pale, blood covered hands; Ravilin pushed her part door open fully to stare into the empty hallway. It seemed that the long hallway had finally fallen from the chaotic state into some semblance of peace. Edging out in the slowest of movements Ravilin glanced about just to make sure before frantically slamming her door shut. The noise echoed down the hallways as if a gun was shot. Jumping slightly the fraccion released her breath.

There was nothing to fear but what her mind could create. If the cruelty of another existed then perhaps fate deemed it as such. Walking quickly her rapid footfalls made a clack before her nervous walk became a sprint into the large crowds of the busy Las Noches crowds. Sunlight danced along her skin from above as she stood outside her eyes looking almost wild before she shut them tightly. Everything would be okay, everything would be alright…

Garen had been within Las Noches. Even in the grandness of this castle of darkness, his presence shined like a beacon of truth, of light. The Sexta Espada was leaned to his right against the white wall of the hallway, his arm curled and palm acting as a surface for his resting head. His fingers were entrenched within his red, long, smooth hair. His brows were aloof and his eyes half shut, providing the Arrancar with a disposition not fitting for a being of such goodness, of such light. His left foot lay atop his right one, the blood within the latter thinning and beginning to numb. He wore baggy, white trousers and a white, open-faced white jacket. But all that didn't matter, for he had felt a presence near. He could now see it from where he stood.

An interesting creature, to say the least. Garen had seen in this being a lightness unrivaled. And to say the least, he had been overcome with warmth when he first had felt its presence. Arrancar were typically not creatures of warmth...but this one felt different. As the creature turned in Garen's direction, the Arrancar's eyes peered directly at the pup's visage. Heavenly yet unwelcoming, both light and wrath it embodied.

The Sexta Espada smiles, but not any ordinary smile. The sides of his gape rise to abnormal levels, almost beyond anatomical plausibility. His eyes close and re-open slowly yet halt just half way open. His dark, almost black pupils glare at the petite girl. He saw the creature's true form. In the form of pure, heavenly Reiryoku. He could see, he could smell...he could sense the Arrancar's true intent. Garen blinks once more.

Unmoving, Garen finally exclaims. "Little one, your presence is both inspiring and dreadful." He pauses for a brief moment, his expression remaining blank. "What's the matter?"

Slowly a thin huff escaped the pale pink lips as the blue eyes flicked across the sun soaked sand. She needed something… Emotions were such fickle things, her beast wanted to kill but she… What did she truly desire? The air was a fine change to the pungent scent that clung to her petite form. Slowly she stepped forward the ivory grains of sand pushing around her feet as she did so. There was another person out here. Person? Monster more likely than person. To say person meant they were human, there were no humans in Las Noches. Then finally the brilliant eyes of the small fraccion are drawn to a man with thick crimson locks. The hair looked like fresh blood. Blinking in the sunlight she tries to force the look of utter terror from her face. The sunlight is making her uncomfortably warm while the Espada’s maw is grinning in such a disturbing manner. Watching the slow motion of his eyes closing, Ravilin felt like a rabbit that had been snared in a trap. The large buildings around them seemed too far spaced now. Too far for her to run to them and be safe. Not good… The sunlight and white sand seemed to be there just to taunt her now. Her emotions were once more at the wild rip tide they were only moments before her chest looking like it was heaving. The ruined uniform exposed more of Ravilin than what most people would’ve considered decent, but you could barely see the white flash of flesh with the drying crimson stains of blood smeared across it. Who was she to judge this monster of a man before her? Was he looking at her? Perhaps not. Slowly turning her head, Ravilin eyed the hallway which she just ran out of into the blinding busy streets of Las Noches. No one was there. It was empty. Did that mean he was looking at her?

Meeting the stare which was glancing over her, Ravilin fought the urge to shudder. It felt like his eyes were picking apart her very essence. Was that even possible? Then he spoke, the voice boomed making her quiver. Why had he noticed her? Perhaps it was just another face in the crowd of someone who wanted to punish her. Licking her lips, Ravilin cocks her head in a manner a well-trained dog would to their master. The blue eyes widen the pupils expanding. Perhaps if she still had her heart that would be thumping away in her chest but alas that was the emptied part of the monster. Inspiring? What did he mean with that? No one ever thought of her as inspiring, it almost seemed like he had waved a forbidden fruit before her face. Timidly she edged towards the sexta, the pink locks swaying around her. Dreadful was a word she was used to. That was an overused word perhaps but one she was used to. The sand crunched on her feet, the sweet scent of blood flittered in the breeze coming off of the small arrancar. She was almost at his feet, wondering if he needed something from her? Then her face lit up slightly as he asked a question that she never heard used to her before.

”The absence of joy towards life seems to be the matter which is causing my terror. I am mocked for caring and beaten for revering it.” The words came out softly an almost sing song manner attached to them a smile was plastered across her face. Where the espada stood shadows seemed to mingle causing a bit of a cool protecting against the scalding sun above. Bowing her head slightly in greeting, Ravilin felt excitement. Someone had spoken to her without the intention of hurting her right away.
